Access Mediation Services are proud to be a part of the Ministry of Justice’s voucher scheme, where you might receive up to £500.00 towards your mediation case.
The voucher scheme is live for a limited time to support people in using mediation to resolve issues concerning child arrangements.
Only family mediators who the Family Mediation Council accredits are taking part in the voucher scheme.
If you would like to know whether you are eligible, you will need to book a MIAM.

If you need a same day MIAM we can help. We have a limited number of appointments available waiting for you, so call now to secure your appointment.
Same day MIAMs may be of a benefit to you because you have work commitments, if there is a court case pending, you want to amend a current court order, urgent issues for example if you have been stopped from seeing your child/children, or for your general convenience.

What people ask us about family mediation
Will I have to see my ex-partner in mediation?
In certain circumstances you may not have to be in the same room as your ex-partner. You may have to express your thoughts and opinions to the mediator, who will then relay these points to your ex-partner who will be sat in a different room (known as shuttle mediation). A mediator’s role is not just to mediate but to also ensure everybody’s safety. They are able to stagger arrival and leaving times, provide separate waiting rooms and mediation rooms. We can also provide mediation via the telephone and online, if this is your preferred method.
Will the mediator share their opinion on what my ex-partner is saying?
The mediator is unable to share their opinions on what both you and your ex-partner are saying, as stated in the Family Mediation Code of Practice. Mediators are trained to remain impartial to ensure that you are getting the most out of the mediation service. This enables mediators to keep track of the mediation and focus on bringing you both to an agreement.
What is a MIAM?
A MIAM is a mediation information assessment meeting. This meeting is an opportunity for you to explain why you want to come to mediation and your concerns about children, finances or communication. The mediator will listen to you and explore the options with you, as well as provide you with information related to what you have raised. You would attend this meeting alone and not with your ex-partner. The MIAM in most cases is a necessary step before other options can be explored.
All of our family mediators are registered with the following mediation regulatory bodies the Family Mediation Council and the College of Mediators, to provide you with family mediation services for MIAMs, financial mediation, child arrangement issues mediation, and MIAM Certificates.
All of our mediators have skills from their previous backgrounds, that only enhance the mediation service they provide to you including coaching, mentoring, training, legal (solicitors), facilitation, and counselling.
